Interview:

Tell us about your book! What inspired you to write it?

The Lord impressed it upon my mind after arousing me from slumber to begin penning the words of this

book. It developed into a journey of learning to respond to the Holy Spirit and a deeper growth in my walk with God.

How did you choose the title for your book? Did it come to you right away, before you started writing it, or did it come later?

That is a good question. I believe that the title  came to me after I began writing the book.

Tell us about the cover design process. Did you have a basic idea of what your book cover would be like?

While praying about the cover design, I had an idea of using the three crosses that Jesus and the thieves were crucified on for the cover. The cross was a very powerful image for the theme of the book as the greatest tribulation any man could face was by Jesus Christ himself.

Who is your cover designer and how did you find him/her?

I designed my own cover. I purchased a course about cover design a few years ago and implemented what I had learned to make the cover.

What has been the readers’ response to your cover?

When I ran a promotion on Net Galley the overall response percentage for those that voted on the cover was very positive.

What tips would you give to authors who are looking for a cover designer?

I would encourage them to make sure that they find someone who is able to deliver exactly what they are looking for. In other words, do your due diligence. One way is to try to find out who has done the cover of a book similar to yours or an author that you really like.  Another valuable way is to pick the brains of other authors in whatever forum or groups you are a part of.

Anything else you’d like to say about your book?

It is my hope that all who read its pages come away with a much deeper appreciation for the allowances that God makes for those painful moments in their lives. I especially hope that many eyes will be opened, faith renewed and greatly increased once they have finished reading it.
